So here it is, the inaugural post of the new con·tact blog run by me, Aaron. I decided to start this blog to help create some dialogue between the photography classes here at UF. It is my desire to collect scans of slides, negatives and digital files that have not been adjusted or altered in any way other than to meet size restrictions. I want to see dust from a fresh scan, or maybe that cast because you forgot to use a filter to correct that fluorescent light before you took the shot.

So here are the rules:

1. File must be a JPEG
   
2. Image size no larger than 640x480 in either orientation
3. Bring your file(s) to my office on a jump drive or ask me for my e-mail if you do not have a portable storage solution
   
4. You must provide your full name, course you are in and name of the work you are submitting
5. The only retouching allowed is a levels/curves adjustment to make the image clearly visible. This does not include the use of any color balancing or channel mixing

So here I sit...waiting.

Lets see what we can turn this forum into.
